Childbirth, breastfeeding, drastic weight loss, genetics, age, and other factors contribute to the deterioration of your breasts, but there is a solution. A breast lift is a surgical procedure that targets the overall appearance of your breasts. If you are looking for a way to enhance the appearance of your breasts, a breast lift is perfect for you. With the expertise of Dr. Luis Rios, you are in good hands.

At Rios Center for Plastic Surgery in Edinburg, TX, we offer a range of breast lift procedures. We provide more than a surgical procedure. We will be by your side through the preparation, procedure, and recovery of your breast lift. Call us today to schedule a consultation.

What Does a Breast Lift Do?

A breast lift procedure targets the shape, size, and position of your breast and alters its appearance by rearranging the underlying tissue and removing excess fat and skin. You can combine a breast lift with other procedures, such as breast augmentation, breast reduction, and breast implants. The results that you achieve are long-lasting and natural-looking.

The Results

The results you achieve with a breast lift can be seen immediately and will continue to improve over the next few months. Your bra size may be a cup size smaller. This is due to the skin on your breasts becoming firmer. The surgical procedure is not considered permanent. However, you can enjoy the enhanced appearance of your breasts for many years.

What to Expect From a Breast Lift Recovery

After your surgery, your incisions will be closed with stitches, your breasts will be covered with gauze, and small drainage tubes will be inserted in your breasts to drain excess fluids. Thereafter, you will be taken to a recovery area where you will be fitted with a surgical bra.

Your drainage tubes will be removed after a few days, and your bandages will be changed regularly. Within the next few weeks, your stitches will be removed if they are not dissolvable. Your surgical bra should be worn 24/7 for at least four days. Thereafter, your support bra will be swapped out for a soft supper bra for another four weeks.

We recommend you follow a few instructions to enhance your breast lift surgery and ease your recovery:

Adjust Your Sleeping Position

Sleep on your back or side for a few weeks to keep pressure off your breasts. Avoid any other actions that put excess pressure on your breasts, such as bending or heavy lifting. This will help your breasts to heal properly.

Avoid Strenuous Exercise

Strenuous exercise and other activities, such as sexual activity, should be avoided for at least two weeks. This may cause unnecessary pressure on your breasts. It is best to let your wounds heal before taking part in any activity that will get your blood rushing.

Limit Sun Exposure

Limiting sun exposure on your breasts for a few weeks and using a protective cover on your incisions when exposed will help the skin on your breasts become firmer. During this period, you should take extra care of your skin.

Maintain a Stable Weight

Avoid weight fluctuation. Maintaining a healthy weight through regular exercise and a healthy diet can prolong your results.

Wear Proper Support

Like many women, you may not want to wear a bra. However, a bra offers the support you need, especially after a breast lift. This will extend the results of your surgery. It is also important to wear the correct bra size. This will contribute towards keeping your breasts in position. In addition, when exercising, a good quality sports bra is recommended.

Types of Breast Lifts

There are many different types of breast lift procedures. Each one targets specific concerns and uses different incisions to achieve results. The amount of tissue present on your breasts, your body type, and your desired outcomes will determine which breast lift procedure is best for you. During your initial consultation, we will discuss your goals and explain the available procedures. Here is some information about some of the breast surgeries we offer:

Breast Lift with Implants

Having a breast lift changes the shape and position of your breasts. Combining it with implants can help you achieve your desired breast size. This procedure can also address asymmetrical breasts.

No-Implant Breast Lift

A breast lift with no implants is a straightforward procedure that offers your breasts a new shape, increases volume, moves your areolas upwards, and removes excess skin.

Vampire Breast Lift

If you are not ready to commit to a surgical procedure, a vampire breast lift is a non-surgical breast lift treatment that uses platelet-rich plasma to achieve firmer breasts.

Breast Reduction and Lift

This procedure reduces the size of your breasts due to the pain that large breasts may cause. This can be combined with a breast lift to give your breasts an enhanced appearance.

Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation uses saline or silicone implants to increase the size of your breasts while reshaping them.

A Surgeon You Can Trust

Dr. Luis Rios holds Allergan’s Black Diamond status for breast augmentation. What he does comes naturally to him. There is no surgical procedure too complicated for him. With his extensive knowledge and experience in breast anatomy, you can be assured that your breast surgery will be handled by the best.
