For Audrey, performing Juvéderm® and BOTOX® injections is closer to an art form than a medical treatment.

“I like to spend time with my patients,” says Audrey, part of the well-qualified duo of medical aestheticians practicing at the Rios Center for Plastic Surgery. “The patient and I, we look together at the treated areas to make sure we are getting the results the patient wants.”

Juvéderm is an injectable filler and used to fill in fine lines and wrinkles. It can also be used to add volume to create plump lips, smooth smile lines and soften vertical lip lines. BOTOX relaxes facial muscles to minimize the appearance of wrinkles.

The injectable procedures are relatively quick to perform, and quick to recover from. “If you have an event you want to look your best for, you could come in for a treatment and be photo-ready within a week,” says Audrey. “Injections are one of my favorite treatments. You get instant results and they are long-lasting, natural-looking results for the patient.”

As part of the Rios Center’s patient-first approach, the only charge for an injectable treatment is for the product. “We don’t charge for our time with the patients. We also offer numbing agents at no extra charge. It’s all about the patient experience, making them comfortable before, during and after their treatment,” says one of our aestheticians. “One time, I had a patient who during the injection asked me to stop and to look at her. I asked if she was okay, if there was anything wrong. She says, no, I just wanted to look at your face because it gives me a sense of calmness.”

Audrey exclusively uses Juvéderm and BOTOX because they can get the best results with those products. “I have been using Juvéderm since it was released. Compared to other products I have worked with, Juvéderm is long lasting and gives you a smooth appearance after injection. You don’t get those little bumps that may be associated with other hyaluronic acid fillers,” says Audrey. “It’s almost like Play-Doh. You can work with it a bit and mold it into a patient’s skin to get good correction.”
