Laser Hair Removal With Sciton Laser Technology

“It’s simple,” says Audrey, our senior medical esthetician, who has worked with the Sciton hair removal laser since 2005. “I treat the areas with the thickest hairs and highest density of hairs first, double back, go over it again, and then treat the thinner areas.” At the Rios Center for Plastic Surgery, hair removal procedures are performed with the Sciton laser system. An intense burst of precisely tuned light vaporizes the hair shaft and root, with minimal damage to the skin. Small red bumps may develop and persist for a few days before fading. Over the course of six to nine treatments, the amount of hair in a given area will be permanently reduced. If hair growth persists, they are thinner and lighter.

Introducing BareHR

Rios MedSpa is excited to offer BareHR, Sciton’s newest development in laser hair removal technology. BareHR laser hair removal is a cutting-edge solution for achieving smooth, hair-free skin. It harnesses advanced laser technology to target and remove unwanted hair effectively and comfortably. With its precision and efficiency, BareHR offers lasting hair reduction, making it a popular choice for individuals seeking a convenient and effective hair removal solution. Audrey, who performs four to five hair removal procedures daily, credits success to the Sciton laser hair removal system: “The Sciton laser is the absolute top of the line. The handpiece has a built-in cooling device, so it’s a cool metal in contact with your skin, not a hot laser. The cooling feature helps numb the skin, so it becomes a fast and nearly painless procedure,” explains Audrey, who can do an upper lip in seconds and both legs in 45 minutes. “From speaking to my patients who have had laser hair removal performed elsewhere, the Sciton is much more comfortable, and they can go through more and longer procedures because of that comfort level."
