Dr. Luis Rios, Jr. is both a plastic surgeon and the son of a plastic surgeon. His father, Dr. Luis Rios, Sr., had founded Rios Center for Plastic Surgery in the 1970s. The two men worked as partners until Dr. Rios, Sr. retired in 2004.
After earning his Bachelor’s degree in biology at Harvard and his medical degree at Southwestern Medical School, Dr. Rios served a residency at the University of California, where he became the Chief Resident of Surgery. He then completed a fellowship in hand surgery at Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Rios has earned board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is also affiliated with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists.
